Sunset - Dorothy Molter

These notecards celebrate Dorothy Molter, Minnesota’s iconic “Root Beer Lady.” As the last resident of the Boundary Waters, she became beloved for her homemade root beer and generous spirit, welcoming travelers with warmth and sharing stories from her wilderness home.

Marian Anderson painted two portraits of Dorothy Molter—Sunset and Dorothy—capturing the spirit and legacy of this Northwoods legend.
